The Fibonacci Craps Strategy Explained: $122 Inside and the CZVegas Press Pattern
Share
This is the press pattern behind the $122 to Table Max series and most of what you see on the CZVegas channel. It isn't a get-rich-quick system and it isn't about chasing losses. It's a simple, memorized way to press your bets so that when a shooter finally gets hot, you're already climbing toward the table max instead of kicking yourself afterward.
Why have a press pattern at all?
There's an old gambling saying: the deadly sin is to mistake bad play for bad luck. Most people walk up to a craps table with a couple hundred dollars and no plan. They bet a little of everything, change their mind every roll, and when the money's gone they blame the dice.
A press pattern fixes three things:
- Bankroll management. Your money has to last long enough to see a good roll.
- Discipline. You do the same thing every time, so you never end up saying "I usually bet the four, why wasn't I on it?"
- Catching the god roll. The whole point: if someone hits the same number 15 times, you want to be at table max when it happens, not explaining later how you "only" won $2,000 when you could have won $10,000. (That's gambler math: you didn't win $2,000, you lost $8,000.)
Why only the inside numbers (5, 6, 8, 9)?
There are 36 ways two dice can land. The 5, 6, 8 and 9 make up 18 of those 36 combinations, so about half of all rolls hit one of your numbers. Adding the 4 and 10 ("going across") gets you to 24 of 36, but it costs more: $172 across instead of $122 inside. If you're only bringing $300 or $400, that extra $50 a hand is the difference between surviving a few quick seven-outs and going home early.
The starting bet: $122 inside
- $36 on the 6
- $36 on the 8
- $25 on the 5
- $25 on the 9
Why $36 on the 6 and 8? Because $36 pays $42. On the first hit you go up to $42 and the dealer hands you back your $36. That number is now riding for free. Same on the 5 and 9: $25 pays $35, so you go up to $35 and take your $25 back. One hit on each number and your whole $122 is back in your rail.
The 6 and 8 ladder
| Hit | Bet | Pays | Press to | Back to you |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $36 | $42 | $42 | $36 |
| 2 | $42 | $49 | $90 | $1 |
| 3 | $90 | $105 | $180 | $15 |
| 4 | $180 | $210 | $360 | $30 |
| 5 | $360 | $420 | $420 | $360 |
| 6 | $420 | $490 | $900 | $10 |
| 7 | $900 | $1,050 | $1,800 | $150 |
| 8 | $1,800 | $2,100 | $3,600 | $300 |
| 9 | $3,600 | $4,200 | $4,200 | $3,600 |
The fifth hit is where it gets spicy. $360 pays $420, so you go to $420 and lock up $360. At that point you have more than $400 in your rail that the casino can't take back, plus $420 still working on the number. Keep pressing and by the ninth hit you've got $4,200 on the number and around $4,500 in your pocket, all starting from $36.
How to remember it: 9, 18, 36, 42. Double, double, then "go to what it pays." After that you just add a zero: 90, 180, 360, 420, then 900, 1,800, 3,600, 4,200. If the table max lets you go higher, keep going.
The 5 and 9 ladder
| Hit | Bet | Pays | Press to | Back to you |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $25 | $35 | $35 | $25 |
| 2 | $35 | $49 | $75 | $9 |
| 3 | $75 | $105 | $150 | $30 |
| 4 | $150 | $210 | $250 | $110 |
| 5 | $250 | $350 | $350 | $250 |
| 6 | $350 | $490 | $750 | $90 |
| 7 | $750 | $1,050 | $1,500 | $300 |
How to remember it: 15, 25, 35, 75. Then add a zero: 150, 250, 350, 750, 1,500. On the 35-to-75 press, drop a dollar and the dealer hands you $10 back.
What about the 4 and 10?
Mike usually skips them. If you buy them you pay commission, and a $25 buy pressed to $50 leaves you a dollar short on that first hit. If you want them anyway, the simple version is to place them $25 to $45 to $100, then $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500. If you're paying commission on every hit, the 4 and 10 need several hits before they're actually making you money.
Why knowing the pattern protects you at the table
When you bet the same way every time, you know exactly what every press should look like: when to drop a dollar, how much should come back, what the chips should look like. Dealers make mistakes, especially on a busy table. If you go from $35 to $75 and don't get your $10 back, you'll catch it immediately. Consistent bets also mean the dealers learn what you do, which makes mistakes less likely in the first place.
Bring a smaller bankroll? Start lower
If you're only bringing $100, start smaller and work your way into the ladder: $6 on the 6 and 8 pays $7, $12 pays $14, $18 pays $21, $36 pays $42. You'll be a step behind the $122 player, but if the shooter hits 20 of one number, you'll both end up at table max.
